ADC is state corporation mandated to produce high quality livestock breeds for farmers, as well as ensure adequate production of the countries seed crop for National Food Security.
Under ADC Molo Seed Potato complex the ADC is mandated to produce certified seed in collboration with KEPHIS for certification and KALRO, CIP starter source materials. The ADC Molo is was established in 1979 and is made of a research lab, green houses system, a cold storage facility and farms for seed multiplication.
ADC has over 18 varieties manitained in the tissue culture laboratory, with active breeders seed production being done under a hydroponics, aeroponics system, and basic seeds onfarm.
The CaWSA- Centre showcases various water conservation, storage, abstraction and distribution systems and soil and moisture conservation technologies, innovations and management practices (TIMPS).
